Autumn is beautiful in Japan

The heat of Japanese summer goes off, hopefully in one or two weeks.

And a beautiful season will come!!

Every season is special in Japan, but Autumn is very important when talking about Japanese diet.
Because a variety of tasty seasonal food will be ready!!

I personally love "Aki-Aji"(taste of Autumn) from Kirin every year!!
Its rich malt flavor is still the same this year.  Very nice body.

Yebisu Stout Creamy Top -Canned- Japanese beer

Yebisu, Sapporo's leading brand, has released a new one!

It is Yebisu Stout Creamy Top.  This has been existing only on tap at certain bars, but now it is canned
and sold at many places. But the production is limited, so why not grabbing it next time you go to a nearby Family Mart!

Honestly, I prefer this on tap because what makes it special is its head. You could have a similar texture, but not quite.

Those who have tasted only Asahi Super Dry and Kirin Ichiban, open your eyes!
Japan is offering more to you!!

Sparkling Coffee!!

Introducing a new refreshment from Suntory for this super hot summer!!

EXPRESSODA!!

Simply, it's  iced coffee + soda.

Weird?  Japanese culture is always full of weirdness. 

In Japan, coffee is not a drink you taste at a cafe'.  We have so many series of canned or bottled coffee, hot and cold. 

A sip....

Good!! It's going pretty well with soda!! :) Well, it has a little bit too much sugar for me, because I usually put very little sugar in coffee.

Does something like this exist in other parts of the world? If not, I am so proud of this new invention.

Kirin Ichibanshibori FROZEN!

Hot, the Japanese summer is super hot.
A new invention from Kirin to cool the country down has been released for a limited period.

It is,,

Ichibanshibori Frozen Nama!

A cooled Ichibanshibori is covered with ice cream looking "frozen" head of  Kirin ichibanshibori.

When I tried at a different place on street, they put a lid because the frozen part might drop off. 

The beer temperature was kept low and its carbonation stayed longer because of the frozen head!!

I think it was very nice especially for my occasion, drink while walking.

If you are staying in Japan this summer, try this! Kirin's special stands are set at big cities, Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka and more and some limited number of restaurants throughout Japan offer this.

Jewel of Japanese Whisky

I just posted one about Suntory's beer but I just realized that I should mention one more thing.

It is Yamazaki, one of the finest whiskies distilled in Japan, another great job done by Suntory.

So aromatic, smooth yet strong body.

There is a mountain range between Kyoto and Osaka. And Suntory runs a beer factory on Kyoto side
and whisky distillery on Osaka side. Good water from the mountain makes good beer and whisky. They have a  free distillery tour that comes with free tastings, a lot of tastings... that will make you very happy.

Summer Festival season is coming up!

You can experience many festivals throughout Japan in Summer and also Autumn.  There are many events coming up in our city, Osaka too!

Tenjin matsuri is one of the three biggest summer festivals in Japan, and will be held on July 24 and 25. There will be much more, don't miss a chance to see traditional ceremonies, fireworks and food stands!

Suntory Premium Malts -Japanese Beer-

This is one of the quality beers in Japan. Suntory is one of the four major beer brewing companies, but I  suppose it's not a very popular name comparing to Asahi or Kirin outside of Japan. Talking about my favorite, Suntory is always No.1.

Premium Malts is their top selling production and it does taste different from any other kinds. In Japan, most of the beers brewed by the major companies are larger type. And this Premium Malts has been standing on the top of this category. They have just changed its ingredients slightly very recently, and many say that new one is partially worsen. I agree, but I still like it!!
