"Max Valu" is the name of the 24 hour open supermarket near CaminoRo. It is about 10 min walk. There is a couple of other supermarkets closer, but Max Valu is the biggest and as I wrote already, 24 hour open.
It is not that I am not spelling the name wrong. Max "Valu" is thier actual name. The two-story extensive supermarket offers a variety of food, everyday items and much more. I and my wife(we two run the guesthouse)like Max Valu overall, but what I really love is their liquor floor. They have such a wide variety of beers, beer taste drinks(watch in Japan that we have three different types or classes of beer. I will write about this in a different posting), sho-chu, sake, wine, etc... And their price is really reasonable, that I never find lower price at any supermarket or liquor shop! Max Valu is literally maximizing the value!!
If you are a beer lover, try YEBISU(gold can) by Sapporo and Premium Malts(also gold can) by Santory while staying in Japan. They both are the top of lager type in Japan.

Sweet grilled seabream?
"Taiyaki", literally translating, it will be "grilled seabream." but it's not fish, only its shape. Taiyaki is a very common snack for Japanese of all generation. It is like a pancake, shaped in fish, usually stuffed with sweet soybean paste or custard. There is a stall specializing in Taiyaki very near CaminoRo. Their taiyaki is something more than you expect!! It's soooo tasty and big!!
They also have okonomiyaki(to go) for JPY300(approx.USD4.00), which is also very good!!!
Price:JPY120/piece
Distance from CaminoRo: 1min walk

Twilight Zone, Osaka?
Open-Air Museum of Old Japanese Farm Houses
Located in a huge park named "Hattori Ryokuchi Park", this open-air museum preserves about 15 of real Japanese old houses. Some of the houses are about 200 years old wooden structures. You can learn a bit of Osakan history as well. Feel the old Japanese life style in this nicely calm museum!! The park itself is really nice with the size of 1.5㎢. How about a half day excursion while staying in Osaka?
I, a person who was born in Osaka, went to this museum for the first time in my life. What a shame, I should have come here before!!
Entrance: JPY500
Distance from CaminoRo: 30min by bicycle or train+walking
